Some careers shine brighter than others If you re looking for a career that will help you stand out join HSBC and fulfil your potential Whether you want a career that could take you to the top or simply take you in an exciting new direction HSBC offers opportunities support and rewards that will take you further HSBC is one of the largest banking and financial services organisations in the world with operations in 64 countries and territories We aim to be where the growth is enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper and ultimately helping people to fulfil their hopes and realise their ambitions We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior consultant Specialist In this role you will Should be independent contributor - Will be Responsible for end-to-end application design development and maintenance activities supporting robust scalable and high-performance backend services - Should be able to develop technical designs for application development - Should be able to manage application development using Java Springboot Hibernate - Should have good understanding on SQL - Should have good troubleshooting bugs fixing and problems solving skills - Should have good analytical skills and learning attitude - Should Take ownership and accountability - Should have flexible in working hours ready to work in shift and On-call support - Should have hands on experience on CICD pipelines - Should propose newer ways of maintaining service resilience - Should be able to mentor the team members and provide guidance and code reviews To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements Should have working experience in Core Java Spring Springboot Should be well versed and have real time experience on GITHUB Maven Junit Should be having working experience in connecting and performing operation in Database using Hibernate or Spring JDBC Should have hands on Devops tools like Jenkins and Agile Scrum process and Jira Contribute to all stages of software development lifecycle Design implement and maintain Java-based applications that can be high-volume and low-latency Analyze user requirements to define business objectives Define application objectives and functionality Ensure application designs conform with business goals Develop and test software Identify and resolve any technical issues arising Create detailed design document and present in appropriate architecture forums for approval Propose changes to current Java infrastructure Develop technical designs for application development Conducting software analysis programming testing and debugging Develop documentation to help users Support continuous improvement investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting for architectural review Experience in mentoring and coaching the team members Knowledge and experience on Oracle DB IBM MQ Ansible Playbook HashiCorp vault would be an added advantage
