Job Description Position Title: Purchase Executive Location: Ahmedabad HO Department: Purchase Experience: 24 Years Qualification: B.E. Mechanical Industry: Chemical Manufacturing Job Summary: We are seeking a competent and detail-oriented Purchase Executive for our Chemical Manufacturing Plant for Ahmedabad HO. The role involves managing end-to-end procurement activities including Capex and Engineering items, ensuring timely availability of quality materials at optimal cost. Key Responsibilities: - Manage procurement of Capex, Engineering, and Plant Maintenance materials as per operational and project requirements. - Identify and develop reliable suppliers/vendors for technical and engineering items. - Float inquiries, obtain quotations, prepare comparative statements, and issue purchase orders. - Conduct price negotiations and finalize orders in alignment with cost, quality, and delivery standards. - Coordinate with Engineering, Maintenance, Projects, and Accounts teams for order follow-ups and payments. - Maintain proper procurement documentation, supplier data, and purchase records in ERP. - Monitor delivery schedules and ensure timely availability of materials. - Assist in cost optimization initiatives and vendor performance evaluation. - Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and statutory requirements. Key Skills & Competencies: - Sound knowledge of Capex & Engineering procurement in a manufacturing setup. - Understanding of technical specifications, equipment, and plant machinery. - Strong negotiation, analytical, and vendor management skills. - Proficiency in ERP / MS Office. - Good coordination and communication abilities. - Ability to handle multiple procurement categories and tight deadlines. -
