Job Description Join us as a Platform Engineer at Barclays, where you'll spearhead the evolution of our digital landscape, driving innovation and excellence. To be a successful Platform Engineer, you should have experience with (Mandatory) - Strong knowledge of PCSM strategy management product - Should have strong understanding of Acquisition Credit risk domain for Mortgage portfolio. - Should have good understanding of existing customer Management journey for Mortgages. - Should be able to document strategy code in terms of readable/presentable flow for business reviews. - Debugging skills on PCSM based on backtracking of automated business decisions. - Good communication skills are necessary and should be able to discuss business requirements with non-technical stakeholders. Some Other Highly Valued Skills May Include (Mandatory) - Should have good understanding of DB to enable functional analysis of decisions and application behaviours. - Should be able to build test data for strategy and rule changes and be able to review test cases prepared for SIT. Desirable Skills/Preferred Qualifications (Not Mandatory) - Knowledge on languages like Python or any object-oriented programming language would be an added advantage. - Exposure AI model and Prompts usages are desirable. The role is based out of Pune. Purpose of the role To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues. Accountabilities - Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance. - Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives. - Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing. - Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization's technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth. - Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions. - Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
