- Activating SaaS environments which includes provisioning SaaS applications, and system configuration.
- Provision of new SaaS customers by creating new databases and configuring application and report servers for Deltek Products.
- Work as part of a team, or independently as needed, to deliver server maintenance for Deltek’s Cloud ERP products including platform updates, application configuration changes, and security configurations.
- Show accountability in creating process improvement and team training initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for process automation. Collaborate in automation projects and create and maintain automation tools.
- Coordinate with a globally distributed Cloud team, and across wider Deltek teams, to help continually drive our application delivery projects to success.
- Provision of L3/L4 support to troubleshoot complex application problems, provide software fault diagnosis, and resolve operational issues.
- Take ownership of vulnerability management and security audit tasks.
- Take responsibility for the management of assigned tasks and internal team projects to completion.
- When needed, take on aspects of the responsibilities of a Cloud Release Engineer to assist in application updates and upgrades.
- Document systems configurations, technical operational processes, and playbooks.
- Adhering to a high standard in security protocol and procedures.
- A customer service mindset is key.
Qualifications :
Must-have skills/experience:
- 3 years’ experience in using various programming or scripting languages such as PowerShell and Python or similar well-known languages.
- 5 years’ experience in using MSSQL, Oracle, or similar database systems.
- Experience in creating both simple and complex database queries and creating SQL scripts.
- 3 years’ experience in supporting any of the following fields:
- Enterprise customer-facing application, computing platforms, and systems; or Operation, Automation, DevOps, Delivery Engineer, Service Reliability Engineer, or similar field.
- L3 and L4 application troubleshooting experience with the ability to identify and document the root cause of application issues.
- Experience with public cloud providers such as AWS or OCI, and experience with cloud container services such as ECS, EKS, or AKS is a major plus.
- Willing to work on permanent mid or night shift and amenable to changes on schedule depending on business needs.
Nice-to-have skills/ experience:
- Familiarity with Jenkins for CI/CD pipeline management, Ansible Tower for configuration management, and Terraform for infrastructure as code is a significant bonus for this role.
- Experience with enterprise monitoring, management tools, ticketing tools, and log management systems.
- Diverse range of technical and operational interests and capabilities, including Linux, Microsoft Server, Internet Information Services (IIS), MySQL, Oracle DBMS, SQL Server, virtualization, monitoring, and automation technologies.
Other Qualifications:
- Ability to work in a high-pressure, highly flexible environment against both short and long-term requirements.
- Passionate about technology and solving IT operations-focused problems.
- Ability to capture processes and create documentation.
- Must be detail-oriented, task-driven, and have excellent communication skills.
