Position Overview:We are seeking experienced

Lead Engineers

with expertise in

Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

to join our platform engineering team. We are looking for engineers with a strong architectural mindset who can guide the selection of GCP services, ensure best practices in coding, and perform technical reviews of the work delivered by the internal and partner engineering team. The ideal candidate will have

4-6 years of hands-on experience working with GCP

and should be comfortable in both architecting solutions, developing and reviewing code for cloud-based applications.

Key Responsibilities:Cloud Architecture:

Lead the design and architecture of cloud-native solutions on GCP, selecting the most appropriate GCP services to meet project requirements while ensuring scalability, performance, and cost-efficiency.Best Practices & Standards:

Establish and enforce coding standards and best practices for development in GCP, ensuring high-quality and maintainable code across the team.Code Review:

Perform detailed code reviews of modules submitted by the engineers to ensure code quality, security, and performance optimization.Technical Guidance:

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to internal teams, helping them develop expertise in GCP services, cloud architecture, and deployment strategies.Collaboration:

Work closely with partner engineers and the internal engineering team to ensure alignment on technical decisions and that all solutions adhere to organizational requirements.Documentation:

Ensure that all architectural decisions, design choices, and code guidelines are well-documented to facilitate smooth collaboration and knowledge transfer.

Qualifications:Experience:

4-6 years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering, with a primary focus on

Google Cloud Platform (GCP) .Cloud Expertise:

Strong knowledge of core GCP services such as

Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Kubernetes (GKE), Pub/Sub, BigQuery, Cloud SQL , and

IAM .Architecture & Design:

Proven experience architecting solutions on GCP, with a solid understanding of how to design secure, scalable, and resilient systems in the cloud.Coding & Development:

Strong coding skills in one or more programming languages such as

Python, Java or Go , with experience in cloud-native application development.Code Reviews:

Experience performing code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices, with a focus on clean code, performance, and security.Cloud-Native Best Practices:

Familiarity with DevOps practices, including

CI/CD pipelines , containerization, and infrastructure as code using

Terraform

or

Deployment Manager .Problem-Solving:

Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex cloud architectures and propose effective solutions.Collaboration:

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with partner teams and internal stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:Certifications:

GCP certifications such as

Professional Cloud Architect

or

Professional Cloud Developer

are a plus.Multi-Cloud Experience:

While GCP is the primary focus, experience with

AWS

or other cloud providers is a bonus.Automation & Monitoring:

Experience with

cloud automation

tools, infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform), and monitoring/alerting systems (e.g.,

Stackdriver ,

Prometheus ).Security Best Practices:

Knowledge of

cloud security practices

and tools, including encryption, key management, and secure IAM policies.
