Job Description Job Title: SAP S/4HANA FI-AR Consultant Experience: 8+ Years Location: Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Coimbatore Notice Period: Immediate Joiners Preferred Job Summary We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA FI-AR Consultant to support, enhance, and optimize SAP Finance applications with a strong focus on the Accounts Receivable (FI-AR) module. The ideal candidate will possess strong functional expertise, excellent analytical abilities, and experience working in fast-paced, global environments. This role requires hands-on configuration, troubleshooting, documentation, requirements gathering, and collaboration with business process owners and cross-functional teams. Responsibilities SAP Finance (FI-AR) Support & Enhancements - Provide end-to-end support for SAP FI-AR applications including troubleshooting, configuration, maintenance, and enhancements. - Perform hands-on configuration in SAP FI-AR module and ensure alignment with business requirements. - Support custom enhancements, integration points, and post-production activities. - Resolve service request tickets as per defined SLAs. Business Process Analysis & Solution Design - Conduct detailed analysis of complex business processes and translate them into effective system solutions. - Identify and document business requirements; create functional specifications and validate solutions with business stakeholders. - Identify gaps, issues, workarounds, and propose system or process improvements. - Maintain solutions as close to standard SAP as possible. Workshops, Requirement Gathering & Documentation - Facilitate workshops with business stakeholders to collect, validate, and map business requirements. - Create and maintain functional design documents, test cases, and test results. - Prepare documentation such as procedures, configuration descriptions, and training materials. Testing & Deployment - Support full-cycle testing activities including unit testing, SIT, UAT, and regression testing. - Participate in SAP upgrades, enhancements, and application releases. - Assist in deployment activities and provide post-go-live support. Reporting & Data Support - Support reporting and query needs: create specifications, review development, perform testing, and validate results. - Assist in reconciliation and financial reporting processes. Training & User Support - Train and mentor SAP Super Users, Business Process Owners, and Leads. - Provide guidance to junior team members on user issues and project tasks. Project Participation & Collaboration - Participate in global SAP implementation projects across US, EMEA, APAC, LATAM regions. - Collaborate with internal business teams, technical teams, external consultants, and middleware teams (e.g., MuleSoft). - Ability to lead small to medium project initiatives and manage competing priorities. Qualifications Education - Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. Experience & Functional Skills - Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA Financials, specifically FI-AR configuration and enhancements. - Strong functional knowledge of Order-to-Cash, Credit Management, and Billing processes. - Experience supporting global implementations across multiple regions. - Experience with SAP Collections Module (preferred). - Working knowledge of Vertex or similar global tax engines. - Experience developing and supporting third-party integrations using MuleSoft or similar middleware. - Strong skills in writing, reviewing, and interpreting functional specifications. - Understanding of key FI configuration areas such as: - Accounts Receivables - General Ledger & Reconciliations - Financial Reporting - Master Data (Accounts, Cost Centers, WBS, Materials) - Bank Account Management & Electronic Bank Statements - Exchange Rates and Collections Processes Soft Skills & Other Competencies - Strong organizational and time-management skills. - Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication. - Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business language. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to diagnose and resolve issues independently. - Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, global environment. - Ability to meet critical deadlines and handle multiple priorities. - Experience developing and conducting end-user training.
