Willing to work in Mandya or Mysore Karnataka India About the Client Founded in 2005 our company has grown into one of the world s largest suitcase manufacturers recognized as the first and only luggage company listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange SCSE With a global turnover of RMB 3 billion in 2023 we are a leading player in the B2B and B2C markets We have established strong partnerships with global brands like adidas Nike Uniqlo Puma and Decathlon providing a wide range of bags luggage and apparel Our manufacturing hubs are based in China India and Indonesia and we are the global market leader in IT suitcases On the B2C front we operate successful brands catering to the youth travel segment and have consistently ranked as the top seller in the luggage category during major shopping events With a strong presence in international markets and continuous expansion through mergers and acquisitions we remain committed to innovation and delivering high-quality products worldwide We are looking for an experienced Industrial Engineering IE Manager to drive process improvements and optimize production efficiency within our apparel manufacturing operations The IE Manager will play a key role in designing workflows introducing advanced production technologies and setting performance benchmarks to enhance overall productivity The successful candidate will lead process improvements manage KPI targets oversee production systems and implement lean manufacturing practices ensuring smooth operations and continuous growth In this role you will collaborate closely with production teams and various departments providing technical support and training on process optimization tools SOPs and lean methodologies You will also be responsible for managing process improvement teams monitoring production efficiency and ensuring compliance with company standards and best practices Key Responsibilities Process Optimization Design efficient production workflows introduce advanced technologies and streamline processes for new product lines Performance Management Set adjust and monitor KPIs for production teams ensuring alignment with efficiency and quality targets Lean Manufacturing Lead the implementation of lean management practices such as 6S visual management and quick changeover techniques to improve operational performance System Enhancement Manage and optimize production and piece-rate tracking systems providing recommendations for improvement Training Development Train staff on process technologies production efficiency tools and best practices ensuring continuous improvement Team Leadership Oversee the daily operations of the process improvement team track progress and provide guidance to achieve improvement targets Cross-Department Collaboration Work closely with various departments to solve production issues ensure smooth communication and support technical process improvements Compliance Reporting Ensure compliance with SOPs and company standards and provide regular updates to leadership on process improvement initiatives Qualifications Willing to work in Mandya or Mysore Karnataka India Fluency in both Chinese and English is required Bachelor s degree or higher in Industrial Engineering Apparel Engineering Textile Engineering or a related field or relevant experience 6 years of experience in apparel production management with at least 3 years in an IE management role Strong knowledge of IE systems production management lean manufacturing and quality control Experience with large-scale apparel manufacturing is preferred Fluency in English and strong communication skills This position reports directly to the General Manager of the India manufacturing base
