Job Description Years of experience: 4-7 years Job Location: Mumbai Must have: Linux server clustering (Veritas Cluster /RHEL /SUSE/Cluster/Pacemaker Clusters) & Solaris. UNIX Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role 1 Overseeing a complicated environment of standalone and virtual Unix and Linux servers including design, build and implementation of systems in accordance to requirements and standards. Improve upon existing system designs and automate processes. 2 Having sound knowledge ( L3 expertise) on OS: Linux & Solaris; Cluster: VCS & RHEL Cluster and Drive P1 calls till closure and support 24/7 operations 3 Oversee a team of 20 engineers and administrators providing performance reviews 4 Build, manage, and develop a team of Unix administrators and engineers including hiring, mentoring, and performance appraisals. 5 Ensure team is properly trained and current on Unix product trends and innovations. 5 Provide vendor management for all Unix related vendors. 6 Oversee creation and maintenance of Unix related roadmaps for hardware and software and strategic direction 7 Oversee Unix team responsibilities for SOX controls and audits and ensure Unix team compliance and enforcement of security, audit controls and Unix standards 8 Ensure Unix team has proper tools like ITSM/ansible /MonIT for its administration, monitoring and reporting tasks and that they are being used for providing key metrics and capacity planning 9 Coordinating critical issue resolution as required. Assist with providing Unix related technologies for disaster recovery and high availability and ensure they are properly used and tested according to business requirements 10 Off-hours work (evening, weekend) as required by change control procedures and priorities Travel to Major DC site as requested.
