About Marriott Marriott Tech Accelerator is part of Marriott International a global leader in hospitality Marriott International Inc is a leading American multinational company that operates a vast array of lodging brands including hotels and residential properties It consists of over 30 well-known brands and nearly 8 900 properties situated in 141 countries and territories Role Title Business Systems Analyst ARA Position Summary Marriott International is seeking a highly engaged and motivated Business Analyst to join a high-performing and fast-paced application development team The candidate must have a proven record of working in a complex matrixed and fast-paced application development team should be flexible and an engaging team player The Business Analyst supports the Hotel Operations Product organization in clarifying functional requirements and functional design with a specific focus on complex solutions requiring operations research solutions This role collaborates with client and information technology organizations to lead the definition of functional requirements and functional designs of creative solutions that will support the clients strategy and future business goals This includes partnership with business stakeholders and close collaboration with Technology Product and Engineering team members Job Responsibilities Facilitates the work of a squad team on a sprint-by-sprint basis Informs the appropriate team members of feature or project status and related issues and impediments and escalates appropriately Skill and Experience 4 years experience in information technology application design or development 2 years experience in business systems analysis or project management on software development projects 2 years experience with converting business needs into technology requirements and working within Technology to manage the execution of projects Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience certification Experience with Agile Development methodology and tools CSPO or CSM certification a plus Experience with project management tools such as JIRA and Confluence Experience facilitating requirements analysis and functional design working sessions Experience identifying and analyzing alternative solutions to complex business requirements and providing guidance and advice Experience with business process re-engineering Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to get into the technical weeds to come to a solution Excellent communicator both written and spoken Extensive experience with business analysis of operations research problems relating to assignment of inventory e g rooms Familiar with UI capabilities afforded by a Salesforce Service Cloud Familiarity with front desk and rooms control functions in hospitality industry Familiarity with automated testing design Data driven test development techniques Object recognition and Test validation Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to define automation test strategies and test plans Ability to detect and report software defects and work with developers to resolve issues Strong communication skills to assist other team members with test design test approach testing story requirement clarification and providing feedback to the development team A passion for learning new processes and techniques Preferred Deep familiarity with PMS systems such as Agilisys Opera etc Familiarity with hospitality industry applications and processes esp Marriotts ecosystem Familiarity with and background in cloud-based custom applications Education and Certifications Undergraduate degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field Or related equivalent experience certification Work location Hyderabad India Work mode Hybrid Marriotts core values At Marriott our make us who we are We believe that success is never final As we change and grow the beliefs that are most important to us stay the sameputting people first pursuing excellence embracing change acting with integrity and serving our world Being part of Marriott Tech Accelerator means being part of a proud history and a thriving culture
