Job Title CSSD Technician Central Sterile Services Department Department Central Sterile Supply Department Job Summary The CSSD Technician is responsible for the decontamination sterilization assembly storage and distribution of medical instruments and equipment This role ensures that all surgical and procedural equipment is safe sterile and available for use in operating rooms wards and other clinical areas Key Responsibilities Clean disinfect and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment using autoclaves washers and other sterilization tools Inspect assemble and pack instrument sets and trays according to established protocols Maintain accurate records of sterilization cycles equipment maintenance and inventory Monitor and verify proper functioning of sterilization equipment and report any issues Ensure proper labeling storage and rotation of sterile supplies to maintain sterility Adhere to infection control and hospital safety guidelines at all times Assist in the distribution and retrieval of sterile and used instruments to and from clinical areas Participate in training programs and keep up-to-date with best practices in sterilization techniques Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Certification in CSSD Sterile Processing preferred or required based on hospital policy 1-2 years of experience in a hospital CSSD or related setting preferred Basic knowledge of infection control and sterilization procedures Skills Required Attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols Good communication and organizational skills Physical stamina to stand for long periods and handle heavy trays Ability to work as part of a team in a high-pressure environment Job Type Full-time Pay 15 000 00 - 22 000 00 per month Benefits Provident Fund Schedule Day shift Work Location In person
