- Operation Theatre Technician Hospital Tieten Medicity Hospital Kasarvadavali Thane Department Operation Theatre Designation Operation Theatre OT Technician Reports To OT Incharge Nursing Superintendent Job Purpose The OT Technician will be responsible for assisting surgeons and anesthetists during surgical procedures by preparing and maintaining the operation theatre environment sterilizing equipment and ensuring adherence to infection control standards for smooth surgical operations Key Responsibilities Prepare and maintain operation theatre before during and after surgery Ensure availability and proper functioning of surgical instruments sterile supplies and equipment Assist surgeons and anesthetists during surgical procedures by handling instruments and materials Maintain aseptic techniques and follow strict infection control protocols Monitor and maintain stock of consumables surgical kits and disposables Coordinate with CSSD Central Sterile Supply Department for sterilization and supply of instruments Prepare patients pre-operatively and assist in their transfer to and from the OT Safely handle and dispose of bio-medical waste as per hospital policy Ensure documentation and record-keeping of OT procedures equipment usage and sterilization records Report any equipment malfunction or shortage immediately to the OT Incharge Support in emergency surgeries and be available on call when required Qualifications Experience Diploma Degree in Operation Theatre Technology DOTT B Sc OT Technology 1-3 years of experience in a hospital OT setup Knowledge of surgical instruments sterilization techniques and OT safety protocols Familiarity with NABH JCI standards will be an added advantage Skills Competencies Strong technical and practical knowledge of OT procedures Ability to work in high-pressure and emergency situations Good communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with surgeons nurses and other staff Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a sterile environment Physical stamina and willingness to work in rotational shifts Job Types Full-time Permanent Pay 15 000 00 - 25 000 00 per month Language Hindi Required
