Job Description HVAC - To assist in the working of conceptual and basic design of industrial projects involving Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems. - To assist in the preparation of the room books. - To assist in preparation layout zoningarea classification, Air Handling Units (AHU) zoning, and pressure differential. - To assist in system design using heat load and static pressure calculations. - To assist in the selection of HVAC equipment or systems for industrial projects. - To assist in the preparation of HVAC electrical load lists. - To assist in the preparation of the airflow diagrams and control logic diagrams. - To assist in the preparation of the Bill of Quantity (BOQ) and costing of the HVAC system. - To assist in the selection of the Building Management System (BMS) field devices and controller and prepare the Input Output (IO) summary. - To assist in preparing technical specifications and data sheets of the HVAC system and its components. - To assist in resolving coordination issues with other departments during the design process. - To assist in technical discussions with vendors or Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and obtain offers from them. - To assist in preparing technical and commercial comparisons of HVAC systems and their components. Cleanroom - To assist in conceptual and basic design engineering of pharmaceutical projects involving HVAC and clean-room systems. - To assist in preparing layouts for epoxy flooring, clean-room furniture, fenders, and ceiling plans. - To assist in preparing BOQ for quantity calculations. - To send inquiries and obtain offers for various designed components for clean-rooms and accessories. - To assist in preparing budgetary costing. - To assist in verifying BOQ from clients and prepare query lists. - To assist in discussions with vendors for technical details and offers. Requirements Skills & Competencies: - Good communication, interpersonal, and convincing skills. - Self-starter, detail-oriented, with an inclination to work independently. - Strong problem-solving skills and decision-making skills. - Good negotiation skills. - Good understanding of and exposure to duct size calculation software. Knowledge - Working knowledge of AutoCAD and the ability to assist the seniors. - Basic knowledge of American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE), and Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors National Association (SMACNA) guidelines for HVAC. - HVAC and its component vendors or manufacturers. - Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook or equivalent. - Basic duct sizing software and related calculations. - Basic Heat load calculations for HVAC. - Awareness of HVAC equipment specification and selection. - Knowledge of major HVAC or Cleanroom and its components vendors or manufacturers. - Basic HVAC Concepts of Temp and Relative Humidity (RH). - Understand and make Air Handling Unit (AHU) zoning, temperature, and RH in layouts. - Familiarity with various options that are available in HVAC equipment or systemslike once-through and recirculation AHU, Variable Refrigerant Volume (VRV) systems, etc. - Knowledge of Apparatus Dew Point (ADP) selection and quantity calculation. Preferable Knowledge - Basic understanding of HVAC concepts of AHU zoning, area classification, pressure zoning, and temperature, and RH. - Ability to prepare AHU zoning, area classification, pressure zoning, and temperature and RH layouts independently. - Good understanding of dehumidifier and humidifier system design. - Exposure to the selection of HVAC equipment and systems for pharmaceutical projects. - Familiarity with various HVAC system options such as once-through and recirculation AHUs, AHU cum dehumidifiers, VRV systems, etc. - Basic knowledge of the World Health Organization (WHO), European Good Manufacturing Practices (EU GMP), and Schedule M guidelines is preferred.
