About the Role:

As a Screenwriter at WinZO TV, you will be a key creative voice behind our original series. You will be responsible for crafting compelling, binge-worthy narratives for a global, mobile-first audience. We're looking for a talented writer to shape the future of digital entertainment and pioneer a new form of storytelling.

This role requires a unique blend of creative vision and a deep understanding of audience behavior. You will build highly-serialized narratives that are emotionally impactful, visually dynamic, and optimized for the vertical format.

What you will do:

- Story & Adaptation: Adapt existing intellectual property (IP) and original stories into highly-serialized, micro-drama scripts. You will also conceptualize and write your own original screenplays from the ground up.
- Format & Pacing: Master the art of writing for the vertical screen. You will craft each episode to be a self-contained, high-impact installment that ends with a powerful cliffhanger.
- Creative Collaboration: Work closely with the Content Head, Creative Producers, and directors to bring your scripts to life, from initial concept to final production.
- Data-Informed Storytelling: You will use audience insights and performance data to understand what resonates with viewers, and apply these learnings to refine future scripts and concepts.
- Pitching: Develop and pitch new series ideas to the creative team, effectively communicating your vision and the commercial potential of your stories.

What you should have:

- A proven track record as a screenwriter, with a strong portfolio of produced work. Experience in writing for short-form content, such as web series or micro-dramas, is a significant advantage.
- A passion for storytelling with a deep understanding of plot, character development, and genre conventions. You have a unique voice and a knack for creating compelling narratives.
- A demonstrated ability to create powerful, emotionally resonant moments that leave an audience hanging on a cliffhanger, a core skill for success in this format.
- You are a great collaborator who can take and incorporate feedback while working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. You can deliver excellent work on tight deadlines.
- A strong understanding of the digital content landscape, with an awareness of the latest trends in storytelling and what resonates with audiences.
