Role Summary

We are seeking a meticulous Accounts Executive who can maintain flawless ledgers, ensure statutory compliance, and support audits—while also liaising with suppliers and customers. The role involves working primarily in Tally Prime and Zoho Books, migrating legacy data from QuickBooks, and taking ownership of vendor management and customer follow-ups to accelerate cash collection.

Key Responsibilities

- Book-keeping & ERP: Record purchase, sales, payment, and receipt vouchers in Tally Prime. Import, reconcile, and post transactions in Zoho Books; assist with QuickBooks migrations.
- Reconciliations: Prepare monthly bank, cash, and vendor-ledger reconciliations. Track inter-branch transactions and petty-cash advances.
- Compliance: Compile and file GST returns (GSTR-1, 3B), TDS payments, and PF/ESI challans. Maintain audit trails and supporting documents.
- Vendor Management: Maintain vendor masters, capture credit terms, match POs/GRNs to invoices, reconcile vendor statements, resolve discrepancies, and update suppliers on payment status.
- Receivables & Payment Recovery: Issue invoices and monthly statements, monitor ageing, follow up on overdue balances via email/phone, escalate high-risk accounts, negotiate payment plans, and coordinate credit holds with sales/dispatch.
- Reporting & Analysis: Generate ageing summaries, stock-valuation reports, expense-variance analyses, and assist in management reports, budgets, and cash-flow forecasts.
- Process Improvement: Suggest automation ideas (Zoho workflows, bank feeds), help formalise SOPs, and strengthen internal controls.

Essential Qualifications & Skills

- B.Com. / M.Com. / BBA (Finance) with 1–2 years of accounting experience.
- Advanced user of Tally Prime (mandatory) and competent in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Hands-on experience with Zoho Books or QuickBooks is a plus.
- Strong understanding of Indian accounting standards, GST, TDS, and vendor/customer-credit cycles.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and able to work independently with multiple stakeholders.

Desirable Extras

- Experience in FMCG or manufacturing sectors.
- Knowledge of inventory accounting and landed-cost calculations.
- Proven track record of improving DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) or streamlining supplier payments.
