Networking Software Technical Writer

Location: Bangalore

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Networking Software Technical Writer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating high-quality documentation that helps users understand and effectively use our networking software products. You will work closely with engineers, product managers, and QA teams to produce user guides, API documentation, configuration manuals, and more.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for networking software products.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly content.
- Create and update user manuals, installation guides, API references, and troubleshooting documents.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather technical information and validate documentation.
- Use tools like Markdown, DITA, or XML to structure and publish content.
- Create diagrams, flowcharts, and visuals to enhance documentation clarity.
- Ensure documentation aligns with branding, style, and accessibility standards.
- Participate in product testing to understand features and identify documentation needs.

Required Qualifications

- 4+ years of experience in technical writing, preferably in networking or software domains.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, firewalls, routing protocols).
- Proficiency with documentation tools such as Git, Confluence, JIRA, and Adobe FrameMaker.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Familiarity with REST APIs, SDKs, and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CompTIA Network+.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
