Job Requirements At Quest Global it s not just what we do but how and why we do it that makes us different With over 25 years as an engineering services provider we believe in the power of doing things differently to make the impossible possible Our people are driven by the desire to make the world a better place to make a positive difference that contributes to a brighter future We bring together technologies and industries alongside the contributions of diverse individuals who are empowered by an intentional workplace culture to solve problems better and faster Key Responsibilities Position Overview The Lead Pipeline Engineer is responsible for leading pipeline engineering activities during pre-bid proposal and detail engineering stages for EPC projects involving cross-country pipelines gas transmission water transmission and and associated facilities The role ensures high-quality engineering deliverables optimized design solutions compliance with standards and technical coordination across disciplines Position Overview The Chief Engineer will lead and oversee all technical activities related to pre-bid engineering bid preparation and detail engineering support for EPC Engineering Procurement Construction projects The role requires strong multi-discipline engineering knowledge experience in oil gas water pipeline petrochemical EPC environments and the ability to guide engineering teams toward delivering accurate optimized and competitive engineering solutions Key Responsibilities 1 Pre-Bid Engineering Proposal Support Lead technical analysis of client tender documents specifications drawings design philosophies and project scope Coordinate with discipline leads to prepare preliminary designs engineering deliverables BOQs and material take-offs Develop technical clarifications deviations and value-engineering proposals for bid submission Support cost estimation teams by providing technical inputs optimized design solutions and design assumptions Review vendor offers technical submittals and preliminary equipment sizing during proposal stage Participate in bid no-bid decisions proposal strategy discussions and risk assessment workshops 2 Detail Engineering Support Provide technical leadership during project kick-off design development and multidisciplinary engineering reviews Validate and approve engineering deliverables such as P IDs layouts design calculations datasheets and specifications Ensure compliance with applicable codes standards API ASME ASTM IEC NFPA etc and client specifications Interact with clients consultants and vendors to resolve technical queries Guide engineering teams to ensure timely delivery of IFC vendor documents and construction support deliverables 3 Technical Leadership Coordination Lead multi-discipline engineering coordination and resolve interface issues between process mechanical electrical civil instrumentation and pipeline teams Provide mentorship technical guidance and coaching to engineers and discipline leads Support digital engineering initiatives 3D modelling BIM design automation etc Drive quality audits design reviews and constructability assessments 4 Project Execution EPC Integration Align engineering plans with procurement construction commissioning and overall EPC execution strategy Support procurement teams with technical bid evaluations and vendor selection Review final engineering deliverables equipment specifications FAT SAT documentation and construction drawings Ensure smooth handover of engineering packages to construction and commissioning teams We wholeheartedly believe in the diversity of thought that comes with fostering a culture rooted in respect where everyone belongs is valued and feels inspired to share their ideas We know embracing our unique differences makes us better and that solving the worlds hardest engineering problems requires diverse ideas perspectives and backgrounds We shine the brightest when we tap into the many dimensions that thrive across over 21 000 difference-makers in our workplace Work Experience Qualifications Experience Bachelor s degree in Engineering Mechanical or equivalent Master s preferred 15-25 years of experience in engineering for EPC projects in oil gas pipelines water transmission energy or petrochemicals Strong experience in pre-bid engineering proposal development and detail engineering leadership Expertise in international codes standards and EPC workflows Strong communication leadership and client-interaction skills Key Competencies Technical leadership and decision-making Multi-discipline coordination Cost-optimization and value engineering Risk identification and mitigation Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work under tight timelines during bidding phase
