Senior Engineering Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide strategic direction, leadership, management, and coordination of the Engineering function within a local division / product group. Each day, you will initiate, coordinate, drive, and oversee team development and continual improvement of processes and procedures to strengthen the engineering and design capability. You will also showcase your expertise by driving the team's performance to ensure assigned engineering operations are executed successfully.

This role is contributing to the Process Automation business for Energy Industries division based in Bangalore, India.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Align the unit's strategy with the division/hub, ensuring operational development, standardized solutions contributing to increased efficiency.

• Build and maintain strong customer relationships, seek feedback, and provide innovative solutions to meet customer requirements and drive improvements.

• Lead local engineering teams responsible for solutions, products, or sector areas, ensuring the timely end-to-end delivery of a portfolio of projects.

• Organize, staff, skill, and direct your area of responsibility with HR support.

• Ensure the projects/operations value chain portfolio follows sound methodology and execution practices in line with internal standard procedures, and close projects as per scope of work.

• Participate in defining the annual KPI's for your area of responsibility and manage performance of team.

• Conduct regular progress reviews, identify, and manage technical risks.

• Ensure engineering teams are adequately resourced, developed, and equipped to meet business needs.

Qualifications for the role

- Should have a minimum of 15 years of experience
- Leading the project with ICSS for Energy Industries (Oil & Gas, Chemical & refineries etc)
- Experience in providing Technical Solutions.
- Should have people management experience.
- Possess Project Management skills
- Should have handled overseas projects including engineering and commissioning.
- Should be an engineering graduate.
