Role : Senior Software Development Manager - Mobile & Web Platform (Bangalore, India)

About the Role :

Were hiring a Senior Software Development Manager to lead engineering for our customer-facing mobile and web apps. This role involves managing both managers and ICs across Flutter (primary), React (PWA/Web), and native iOS/Android (Swift/Kotlin). Youll collaborate closely with product, design, and business teams to deliver seamless, high-performance experiences at India-scale.

This is a full-time, in-office role in Bangalore.

What You'll Do :

- Lead engineering execution for all mobile and web apps, ensuring performance, reliability, scalability, and quality.

- Partner with product and design to translate business goals into execution-ready technical plans.

- Manage and grow a team of engineering managers and senior ICs, fostering leadership and mentorship.

- Drive platform-wide consistency (shared components, reusable frameworks, observability).

- Optimize for India-scale challenges (low-end devices, spotty networks, regional diversity).

- Improve engineering productivity via automation, CI/CD, testing infrastructure, and tooling.

- Strengthen engineering excellence through robust review mechanisms and accountability.

- Enhance experimentation velocity, crash-free rates, app store ratings, and release cycles.

- Lead incident RCA/recovery and implement preventive measures.

- Establish engineering metrics dashboards (uptime, delivery velocity, tech debt).

- Instill a culture of ownership, urgency, and pride in delivery.

What Were Looking For :

- 9+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years in leadership at high-scale B2C product companies.

- Deep technical expertise in Flutter, Kotlin/Swift, React, JS/TS, and PWAs.

- Proven experience scaling consumer apps for India (millions of users, device/network fragmentation).

- Strong grasp of app performance optimization, observability, crash analytics, and CI/CD.

- Track record of growing senior engineers/managers into leaders.

- Data-driven mindsetusing developer metrics to improve team throughput.

- High agency - challenges the status quo and aligns cross-functional teams.

- Collaborative leader who partners with product, design, QA, and business teams.

- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder alignment skills.

Nice to Have :

- Familiarity with experimentation platforms (Firebase Remote Config, A/B testing).

- Exposure to AWS/cloud infrastructure.

- Experience with internal developer platforms or platform-as-a-product thinking.
