Job Description Description AS400 + COBOL Developer Notice Period : Immediate Skills : AS/400, AS400 Cobol CL/400 Job Title : IBM i AS400 Cobol ILE Sr Developer Offshore Experience : Minimum 7 years in IT with 5 years of IBM i AS400 Development Enhancement and Support experience Job Summary Experience up to 8 years and min 5 years of experience in Mandatory Skills COBOL400 COBOL ILE SQL400 Query400 Strong working knowledge in DB2400 ILE Concepts Display Files Sub Files Printer Files Embedded SQL Additional Skills Aldon MQ Series is a plus Key Responsibilities - iSeries Development Expertise in technologies such as ILE COBOL ILE CL database DB2 - Knowledge of iSeries APIs Data queues User queues multithreading Journaling and IBM iSeries file systems such as Library based system etc - Experience with SQL and MQ Series is a plus - Functional Requirements and perform requirement analysis - Estimate and Monitor Estimates - Work with Business teams to prioritize work - Prepare detailed design documentation - Reporting and tracking of assignments - Fix high priority issues Required Skills Experience - Excellent communication and problemsolving skills - iSeries Development Expertise in technologies such as AS400 ILE COBOL ILE CL C database DB2 - COBOL400 COBOL ILE - SQL400 Query400 Strong working knowledge in DB2400 - ILE Concepts - Display Files Sub Files Printer Files - Embedded SQL - Knowledge of iSeries APIs Data queues User queues multithreading Journaling and IBM iSeries file systems such as Library based system etc - Working on production support is an added advantage for this role Preferred Qualifications - Experience in financial serviceslending domain - Knowledge of AgileScrum and traditional SDLC methodologies - Exposure to modernization tools or microservices even at concept level Three Questions - Explain about your Development experience in AS400 Cobol ILE technical challenges you have faced - Whether you have worked on AS400 Cobol or not If yes then total working experience on AS400Cobol NativeILEDB2CL - In which Domain you have worked earlier have you ever worked in BFSBFSi domain (ref:hirist.tech)
