Title : COBOL Developer.Location : Hyderabad.Job Description :Role & Responsibilities :- AS400 Development : Develop, maintain, and enhance applications within the IBM i Series (AS400) environment.- Coding & Scripting : Utilize COBOL/400, SQL/400, and CL (Control Language) for coding, scripting, and system configurations.- Database Management : Work with AS400 databases, understanding their structure and hierarchy.- System Operations : Navigate and utilize IBM i Series commands and understand the library hierarchy.- Troubleshooting : Apply strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues within AS400 applications.- Collaboration : Work effectively within SAFe/Agile teams, participating in daily scrums, sprint planning, and reviews.- Change Management : Utilize change management tools to manage code versions and deployments efficiently.- Communication : Clearly communicate technical details and collaborate with team members and stakeholders.What We're Looking For :- Experience : 6+ years of hands-on experience in COBOL/400, SQL/400, and CL.- AS400 Environment : Solid working experience in the IBM i Series (AS400) environment, including commands and a basic understanding of databases and library hierarchy.- Methodologies : Experience working on teams utilizing SAFe/Agile methodologies.- Tools (Good to Have) : Knowledge of AS400 tools such as DBU, SEQUEL, Work Query, CA2E Implementor, and ROBOT.Skills : Strong analytical and good communication skills (ref:hirist.tech)
