Position: Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist (MS/DGO) Ambikapur, Chhattisgarh On-site About The Opportunity Join a clinical team delivering comprehensive maternal and gynaecologic services including antenatal clinics, labour & delivery services, operative gynaecology, and emergency obstetric care. You will work in a patient-centric environment with access to diagnostic support and a multidisciplinary clinical team. Role & Responsibilities - Deliver full-spectrum obstetric and gynaecologic care: outpatient clinics, antenatal follow-up, labour management and postpartum care. - Act as primary surgeon for obstetric and gynaecologic procedures including Caesarean sections, operative vaginal deliveries, and elective/minor gynaecologic surgeries. - Manage obstetric emergencies (PPH, eclampsia, sepsis) and coordinate rapid multidisciplinary response including neonatal handover. - Perform and interpret basic obstetric ultrasound and fetal monitoring; escalate and refer complex cases appropriately. - Provide minimally invasive procedures where indicated (diagnostic laparoscopy, hysteroscopy) and familyplanning services (IUCD insertion, counselling). - Maintain accurate clinical documentation, participate in audits, mentor junior doctors and promote compliance with clinical protocols and infection-control standards. Skills & Qualifications Must-Have - Caesarean section - Vaginal delivery - Antenatal care - Intrapartum fetal monitoring - Postpartum haemorrhage management - Emergency obstetric care Preferred - Laparoscopic gynaecologic surgery - Hysteroscopy - Neonatal resuscitation (NRP) Essential Qualifications & Experience - MBBS with MS (Obstetrics & Gynaecology) or DGO (Diploma in Gynaecology & Obstetrics). - Registered with the relevant State Medical Council (required for practice in India). - Prior clinical experience in labour & delivery and operative obstetrics; consultant-level experience preferred.
