Job Description job title: automation test engineer (playwright) experience: 35 years work location: Kollumangudi About The Role we are hiring a skilled automation test engineer with strong hands-on experience in playwright using javascript/typescript. the role involves designing scalable automation frameworks, ensuring high-quality product delivery, and driving continuous improvement in qa processes. key responsibilitiesautomation development - design and maintain end-to-end automation scripts using playwright (js/ts). - build scalable automation frameworks for web and api testing. - develop reusable, maintainable, and modular automation components. test planning & execution - analyze requirements and convert them into automation test cases. - integrate automated suites into ci/cd pipelines (github actions, jenkins, azure devops, etc.). - execute automated suites, analyze failures, and provide quick feedback to developers. quality assurance - perform functional, regression, smoke, and integration testing through automation. - work with developers to reproduce, debug, and resolve issues. - ensure optimal test coverage for new features and enhancements. documentation & reporting - maintain clear documentation of test scripts, frameworks, and processes. - provide structured reports on test execution, defects, and automation coverage. Required Skills Core Skills - playwright automation - javascript / typescript - web testing secondary skills - version control - ci/cd pipelines - api automation - test reporting - defect analysis technical qualifications - strong hands-on experience with playwright for ui automation (mandatory). - experience with web automation; api automation experience is a plus. - knowledge of test design techniques and automation best practices. - experience with git/github/bitbucket. - familiarity with reporting tools (allure, extent, playwright test reporter). soft skills - strong analytical and problem-solving ability. - clear communication and collaboration skills. - ability to work independently. - continuous learning mindset. nice-to-have skills - exposure to cypress, selenium, or mobile automation. - experience with api testing tools (postman / axios / supertest). - basic understanding of docker, aws, or similar cloud environments. education bachelor's degree in computer science, it, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
