The Group You ll Be A Part Of Lam India LIGHT ETCH NPD The Impact You ll MakeAs a Mechanical Engineer at Lam your will be involved in designing mechanical electro-mechanical systems pneumatically actuated systems and also contributing towards chamber coated parts design and development You provide the crucial design information needed to shape our next products In this role you will directly contribute to new product engineering of Lam Etch productsWhat You ll Do Position will be owning executing realizing results per allocated project contribute to short-term long-term dept goals objectives These projects would be driven as part of New Product Development NPD Continuous Improvement Programs CIP cost reduction and or reliability improvement initiatives Understanding attaining execution of all Lam business processes standards compliances and best practices Effectively working in the matrix organization by aligning with all stakeholders without compromising on Quality Delivery Cost QDC to meet dept Position will be owning executing realizing results per allocated project contribute to short-term long-term dept goals objectives These projects would be driven as part of New Product Development NPD Continuous Improvement Programs CIP cost reduction and or reliability improvement initiatives Understanding attaining execution of all Lam business processes standards compliances and best practices Leading realizing project or program commitments consistent with established business processes by adhering to all engineering due diligence DFMA dFMEA tolerance calculations FEA - static dynamic DFX Develops presents reports presentations of excellent quality that communicate design intent analysis validation at design reviews Develops execute test plans that generate characterization data sufficient to understand and validate the performance of the design Accountable for releasing complete engineering drawings bill of materials per engineering change management Ensures documentation is consistent with SEMI Lam Standards GD T and other standards as applicable ANSI DIN etc as well as best known methods BKMs Who We re Looking ForMinimum Qualifications Bachelor s in Mechanical engineering with minimum 8 years of relevant experience or Master s in Mechanical engineering Thermal Material Science with minimum 4 years of relevant experience Hands on experience of product design and development experience with capital equipment or similar comprising of thermo-mechanical electro-mechanical systems of high complexity with execution knowledge of NPD development associated engineering due diligence Hands on experience to take design from concepts OEM components sheet metal metal machined weld assembly plastics ceramics would be a big plus detail engineering Tolerance analysis dFMEA 8D problem solving RCCA 5-why DFMA test plan testing etc through detailed drawing parts procurement DFM interaction with suppliers assembly build verification customer qualification with deeper understanding of issues faced lessons learned and closure Ability to work well in a matrix organization with aggressive deadlines ability to align on priorities etc while focused to realize end objective NX drawings GD T standards change mgmt process Have in depth understanding of materials and processes such as thermal spray coatings APS HVOF cold spray and physical vapor deposition PVD Have hands on experience on performing and in depth understanding of metallographic techniques microscopy mechanical testing Scanning electron microscopy electron dispersive spectroscopy Ability to interpret and conclude on characterization test results Have relevant familiarity with industry standards related to coatings and characterization techniques Excellent communication both written and verbal and technical presentation skills Hands-on experimental and design background coupled with solid engineering skills Preferred Qualifications Semiconductor industry experience is not required but a plus Product engineering experience in SEMI in specific design contributions to Etch chamber vacuum systems gas delivery knowledge on elastomers plasma chemistry RF compatible material of choices and heat transfer related fluid material compatibility Exposure and working knowledge of Team center and NX or any other CAD tool SAP PLM release process product structure and configurations Good understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes equipment industry standards SEMI OSHA ASME etc Excellent verbal and written communication skills ability to present design concepts to peers and management seeking key decision to implement newer designs Our CommitmentWe believe it is important for every person to feel valued included and empowered to achieve their full potential By bringing unique individuals and viewpoints together we achieve extraordinary results Lam Research Lam or the Company is an equal opportunity employer Lam is committed to and reaffirms support of equal opportunity in employment and non-discrimination in employment policies practices and procedures on the basis of race religious creed color national origin ancestry physical disability mental disability medical condition genetic information marital status sex including pregnancy childbirth and related medical conditions gender gender identity gender expression age sexual orientation or military and veteran status or any other category protected by applicable federal state or local laws It is the Company s intention to comply with all applicable laws and regulations Company policy prohibits unlawful discrimination against applicants or employees Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories -
