Job Summary: We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented PHP Developer to join our development team. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in PHP and related web technologies, with a passion for clean code, scalable architecture, and continuous learning. As a PHP Developer, you will be responsible for developing back-end components, connecting applications with other web services, and supporting front-end developers by integrating their work with the application. This role requires a combination of programming skills (namely PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and an understanding of best practices in web development. You will play a key role in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining dynamic websites, applications, and system integrations. Key Responsibilities: 1. Web Application Development: Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable web applications using PHP and related technologies. Build efficient, testable, and reusable PHP modules and functions. Write clean, well-documented, and optimized code that follows industry standards and best practices. Work on both new projects and the maintenance of existing websites and applications. 2. Database Management: Create and manage databases, tables, stored procedures, and queries using MySQL or other RDBMS. Optimize queries for performance and scalability. Design and implement database schemas to support new and existing application features. 3. Integration & API Development: Develop RESTful APIs for communication between front-end and back-end systems. Integrate third-party APIs (e.g., payment gateways, SMS gateways, social media platforms, ERP systems). Troubleshoot and resolve API integration issues and maintain documentation for the same. 4. Front-End Collaboration: Collaborate with front-end developers to implement user interfaces and ensure seamless functionality across platforms. Use HTML, CSS, JavaScript (and libraries such as jQuery) to support integration of UI/UX components. 5. Security & Performance: Implement website security measures such as data validation, sanitization, and protection against vulnerabilities (e.g., SQL injection, XSS, CSRF). Monitor application performance and carry out necessary optimizations for better load times and responsiveness. 6. Testing & Debugging: Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews to ensure bug-free deployment. Identify and resolve bugs and performance issues across platforms and browsers. Collaborate with QA team for testing cycles and ensuring deployment readiness. 7. Documentation & Collaboration: Maintain technical documentation for code, system architecture, and processes. Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and other team meetings.
