Position summary:

As a Senior Project Manager, you are required to have 5+ years of experience and is responsible for leading and delivering complex projects within scope, budget, and timelines while ensuring alignment with organizational goals. This role involves strategic planning, resource allocation, and risk management to achieve project objectives effectively. The Senior Project Manager collaborates with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and clients to define project requirements, monitor progress, and ensure quality outcomes. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential to drive team performance and maintain stakeholder satisfaction. This position also emphasizes continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to optimize project delivery processes and methodologies.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Execution

Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines in collaboration with stakeholders.

Develop comprehensive project plans, including resource allocation, budgets, and schedules.

Oversee project execution, ensuring adherence to timelines, quality standards, and financial constraints.

Stakeholder Management

Act as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and team members.

Communicate project progress, risks, and key updates effectively to all stakeholders.

Manage stakeholder expectations and foster strong relationships to ensure satisfaction.

Team Leadership and Collaboration

Lead cross-functional project teams, providing guidance, motivation, and support.

Foster collaboration among team members to achieve project goals efficiently.

Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.

Risk and Issue Management

Identify, assess, and mitigate risks and issues that may impact project delivery.

Develop contingency plans and take corrective actions to address deviations from plans.

Monitor project risks throughout the lifecycle and report on mitigation efforts.

Budget and Resource Management

Monitor and control project budgets, ensuring efficient utilization of resources.

Allocate resources effectively, balancing workload among team members.

Evaluate and secure additional resources when required for project success.

Quality Assurance

Ensure projects meet quality standards and align with organizational objectives.

Conduct project reviews and implement best practices to enhance delivery processes.

Ensure compliance with relevant policies, regulations, and industry standards.

Continuous Improvement

Analyze project outcomes and lessons learned to improve future project performance.

Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in project management.

Drive process optimization to enhance operational efficiency and project delivery.

Reporting and Documentation

Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including reports, plans, and records.

Provide regular status updates and performance metrics to senior management.

Ensure proper closure of projects, including final reporting and post-implementation reviews.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in managing complex projects in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
- Experience with Agile, Scrum, or other project management methodologies.
- Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or equivalent certification (required).
- Proficiency in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA.
- Ability to take the initiative in improving systems through integration and automation efforts.
- Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build and nurture relationships with customers.
- Capability to actively listen and understand customer needs, maintain ongoing engagement, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to quickly grasp and understand the technologies and systems involved in project execution.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Skilled in risk management and conflict resolution.
- Flexibility to adapt to evolving project requirements and collaborate effectively across teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Master’s degree or MBA (preferred).
- ITIL Foundation or Six Sigma certification (preferred).
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and IT project delivery (preferred).
