Role Description Senior Manager/ Assistant Vice President - Business Development This is a full-time on-site role based in Mumbai. The Business Development role at auctusESG focuses on driving strategic growth in sustainable finance and climate advisory by developing go-to-market strategies, identifying business opportunities, and nurturing long-term global client relationships. The role includes overseeing high-quality project delivery, contributing to innovative product and solution development, ensuring compliance with legal and contractual frameworks, and leading high-performance teams to advance the firm's sustainability objectives. Key Responsibilities: Business Development: - Understand market trends, identify competitors, and design robust go-to-market strategies - Drive business growth through acquisition of advisory and research projects - Forge and nurture client relationships across global markets, converting opportunities into long-term partnerships - Support the development of marketing and public relations strategies - Identify public platforms for brand representation and enhance the firm's visibility - Contribute to thought leadership through strategic research, knowledge products, and policy advocacy - Hire, manage, and inspire high-performance teams Project & Solutions Oversight: - Provide strategic oversight across projects to ensure timely, high-quality delivery - Develop solutions and product strategies aligned with the firm's sustainable finance objectives Legal and Strategic Understanding: - Possess working knowledge of intellectual property rights, contracts, and agreements across geographies Required Experience and Skills - Postgraduate qualification in Sustainability, Finance, Economics, Climate, or Business Administration - 1215 years of experience in advisory, consulting, banking, asset management, or NBFCs, with prior P&L responsibility - Exposure to sustainable or green finance, with proven experience managing client and government relationships - Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills - Demonstrated ability to lead diverse, high-performing teams across regions
