Job Title: Associate – Retail & Hotel Projects Location: Bangalore Job Type: Full-time Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Architect for the role of Associate – Retail & Hotel Projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Retail & Hotel Architecture and extensive hands-on experience with AutoCAD / Revit. In this role, you will lead the end-to-end design process for Retail & Hotel projects, collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure alignment with client expectations, technical accuracy, and design excellence. Key Responsibilities: Design Leadership - Lead the complete design process for Retail & Hotel projects—from concept to detailed design and construction documentation. - Develop creative, functional, and innovative design solutions that align with client requirements, project goals, and budget parameters. - Ensure all designs meet client vision, regulatory guidelines, local building codes, and industry best practices. Project Coordination & Management - Oversee and coordinate design activities across internal teams and external consultants such as engineers and planners. - Manage the preparation of precise architectural drawings and documentation in accordance with project standards. - Work closely with project managers to ensure timelines, budgets, and deliverables are met. - Foster a collaborative design environment that supports innovation without compromising design integrity. - Ensure adherence to project schedules and the timely delivery of high-quality outputs. Technical Expertise & AutoCAD / Revit Proficiency - Produce high-quality architectural drawings—plans, sections, elevations, and detailed construction drawings—using AutoCAD. - Review and ensure accuracy, clarity, and completeness of drawings prepared by the team. - Identify technical challenges during design and construction phases and provide effective solutions. Quality Control & Design Review - Conduct detailed design reviews to ensure compliance with quality standards, client specifications, and regulatory requirements. - Approve drawings, specifications, and revisions, ensuring all updates are accurately incorporated. - Oversee implementation of design modifications across documentation. Construction Support - Provide ongoing design support during construction, including clarifications, revisions, and technical guidance. - Address on-site design-related issues in coordination with contractors, ensuring design intent is maintained. Qualifications: - Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture (B.Arch). - Experience: 12–15 years of professional architectural experience, specifically in Retail & Hotel projects. - Proven experience working on a range of projects including retail developments, mixed-use buildings, hospitality projects, and commercial spaces. Technical Skills - Expertise in AutoCAD for detailed architectural drawings. - Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite is an added advantage. - Strong understanding of building codes, local regulations, and industry standards relevant to Retail & Hotel projects. Communication & Client Management - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Ability to clearly articulate design concepts to clients, consultants, and internal teams. - Proven track record of building strong client relationships and managing client expectations effectively. Problem-Solving & Critical Thinking - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. - Ability to develop creative solutions while navigating technical and site constraints. - Proactive approach in resolving design and construction challenges for smooth project execution.
