About the jobWhether you're on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (Google Ads, AdSense, Google Marketing Platform, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the product and help it grow a consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across Sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. In this role, you'll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end. As a Product Marketing Manager, you are a storyteller who crafts compelling narratives about our products to engage with a variety of audiences, including consumers, developers, and partners. You will be at the forefront of shaping how users experience our products that are responsible for creating and executing impactful campaigns, building powerful narratives, and launching new initiatives to grow our ecosystem. You will regularly partner with cross-functional teams to craft messaging and develop programs, and you'll exceed at tracking progress against defined goals.Google Play offers music, movies, books, apps and games for devices, powered by the cloud. It syncs across devices and on the web. As part of the Android and Mobile team, Googlers working on Google Play do everything from engineering our backend systems, to shaping product strategy, to forming great content partnerships. They make it possible for people to do things like buy an ebook or song on their Android phone, then have it instantly available on their laptop. The Google Play team enhances the Android ecosystem by giving developers and partners a premium store where they can reach millions of users. Responsibilities - Plan and execute go-to-market strategies for new product, program and feature launches. Craft product messaging and positioning, and recommendations for product improvements based on user insights and market analysis. - Develop external communications, including event narratives, blog posts, and other marketing collateral. - Collaborate with stakeholders to understand the engagement, consumer insights and positioning, and product performance. - Work with regional and local marketing teams to communicate marketing goals and objectives and ensure global campaign alignment. - Advocate developers or publishers in the region, showcasing the unique market nuances of this region through insights and shepherding product and brand development that can serve the needs of audience.
