WHO YOU ARE You are more than just an accountantyou're a financial storyteller who ensures that all numbers are captured accurately and reflect the big picture. With 2+ years of experience in accounting, particularly in handling TDS/TCS, you understand the intricacies of financial data and enjoy solving problems. A degree in Commerce has provided you with a strong foundation in accounting principles, and now you're eager to grow in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You're highly organized, proactive, and have an eye for detail. Your proficiency in Tally ERP and Microsoft Excel is second nature, and you're comfortable collaborating with various teams to streamline accounting processes. Above all, you thrive in environments where process improvement and automation are valued, and you're always looking for ways to enhance efficiency. YOUR TEAM You'll report directly to the Finance Manager and work out of our Head Office in Lal Baug, Mumbai, with occasional visits to our brand locations as required. Your role will involve frequent collaboration with teams across finance, operations, and procurement, ensuring that accounting practices are streamlined and aligned with the company's broader financial goals. RESPONSIBILITIES - Accounting Operations: Oversee the daily accounting functions for AR and AP, ensuring all entries are accurate, timely, and comply with internal financial policies. - Invoice Management: Ensure the proper and timely accounting of invoices for food, liquor, utilities, and other purchases, and periodically reconcile vendor ledgers to resolve discrepancies. - Bank Reconciliation: Monitor bank entries and prepare monthly reconciliation statements. Ensure cash collections are reconciled as part of financial operations. - Tax Compliance & Audits: Support the team in the preparation and filing of tax returns (TDS, VAT, GST), including payment processing. Assist in GST e-invoicing and liaise with consultants for tax audits and filings. - Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline processes, automate repetitive tasks, and improve the accuracy and efficiency of accounting operations. - Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to ensure that accounting procedures align with operational needs and business goals. - Ad Hoc Financial Analysis: Assist the leadership team with various financial analyses, helping provide insights for strategic decision-making. QUALIFICATIONS - Experience: 2+ years of experience in accounting, particularly in managing TDS/TCS, with a deep understanding of financial processes. - Education: Bachelor's degree in Commerce or a related field. - Skills: - Proficiency in Tally ERP and Microsoft Excel is essential. - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in accounting. - Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. - A proactive, organized approach with the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. - A continuous improvement mindset and a passion for process optimization.
