A hot mix plant operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a machinery system that produces hot mix asphalt HMA by monitoring and adjusting the flow of aggregate materials asphalt cement and recycled asphalt to meet specific quality standards while ensuring proper maintenance and adherence to safety regulations throughout the production process Key responsibilities of a hot mix plant operator Operating plant machinery Controlling the operation of all equipment within the hot mix plant including feeders dryers mixers screens and storage bins Monitoring production quality Regularly checking and adjusting the mix composition by analyzing aggregate gradation asphalt cement content and temperature to maintain quality standards Raw material management Ensuring a steady supply of aggregate materials asphalt cement and recycled asphalt by coordinating with delivery trucks and monitoring inventory levels Quality control testing Performing routine quality control tests on the hot mix asphalt samples to verify compliance with specifications Maintenance and troubleshooting Identifying and reporting any mechanical issues with the plant equipment performing basic maintenance tasks and coordinating with maintenance personnel for repairs Safety procedures Adhering to all safety protocols including wearing personal protective equipment following lockout tagout procedures and reporting any safety concerns Data recording Maintaining accurate production logs including mix design details temperatures and quality control test results Required skills and qualifications Mechanical aptitude Understanding of basic mechanical principles and ability to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions Attention to detail Ability to precisely monitor and adjust production parameters to ensure consistent quality Math skills Understanding of basic math concepts to calculate mix ratios and perform quality control calculations Physical stamina Capable of working in a demanding outdoor environment with exposure to heat and noise Safety awareness Commitment to following all safety regulations and procedures CONTACT - NAMRATA 91099 99660
