Overview We are looking for a highly skilled Lead Engineer to spearhead our data and application migration projects The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of cloud migration strategies especially with AWS and hands-on experience in large-scale migration initiatives This role requires strong leadership abilities technical expertise and a keen understanding of both the source and target platforms Responsibilities Proven experience in leading data migration projects and migrating applications services or data to cloud platforms preferably AWS Knowledge of migration tools such as AWS Database Migration Service DMS AWS Server Migration Service SMS AWS Migration Hub Expertise in data mapping validation transformation and ETL processes Proficiency in Python Java or similar programming languages Experience with scripting languages such as Shell PowerShell or Bash Cloud Technologies AWS focus Strong knowledge of AWS services relevant to data migration e g S3 Redshift Lambda RDS DMS Glue Experience in working with CI CD pipelines Jenkins GitLab CI CD and infrastructure as code IaC using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation Experience in database management and migrating relational e g MySQL PostgreSQL Oracle and non-relational e g MongoDB databases Requirements Proficiency in programming languages e g Python Java and SQL for data manipulation and transformation tasks DevOps Automation Experience with CI CD pipelines and automating deployment and migration processes using tools like Jenkins Terraform or CloudFormation Compliance Security Knowledge of data security practices and compliance GDPR HIPAA etc for ensuring data privacy during migration Strong communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders and document migration processes clearly Familiarity with monitoring tools CloudWatch Prometheus Grafana to ensure performance and availability Experience in Agile development and working in an Agile Scrum environment
