Sonologist

Job Description Job Summary: We are seeking a qualified and experienced Sonologist to perform and interpret a variety of diagnostic ultrasound scans. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in obstetric, gynecological, and abdominal imaging and be capable of providing accurate, high-quality diagnostic reports to assist in patient care and treatment planning. Key Responsibilities: - Perform and interpret diagnostic ultrasound examinations, including: - Transvaginal (TVS) scans - Pregnancy scans (1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester) - Whole abdomen scans - Nuchal Translucency (NT) scans - Anomaly scans (Targeted Level-II scans) - Evaluate ultrasound images to identify normal and abnormal findings. - Prepare detailed and accurate diagnostic reports in a timely manner. - Collaborate with referring physicians, gynecologists, and obstetricians for case discussion and patient management. - Maintain and ensure proper functioning of ultrasound equipment. - Adhere to clinical protocols, quality assurance, and patient safety standards. - Counsel patients regarding the scanning process and address any questions or concerns. - Maintain accurate records and ensure patient confidentiality at all times. Qualifications & Requirements: - MBBS degree from a recognized university. - Postgraduate Diploma/Degree in Sonology, Radiology, or Medical Imaging (e.g., DMRD, MD Radiology, PG Diploma in Ultrasonography). - Valid Medical Council Registration (State/National level). - Minimum 13 years of experience performing diagnostic ultrasounds. - Proficiency in obstetric and gynecological imaging. - Strong interpretation and reporting skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. - Commitment to ethical medical practice and patient care. - Familiarity with modern ultrasound machines and image archiving systems.
