Sonologist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Sonologist to perform and interpret a variety of diagnostic ultrasound scans. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in obstetric, gynecological, and abdominal imaging and be capable of providing accurate, high-quality diagnostic reports to assist in patient care and treatment planning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform and interpret diagnostic ultrasound examinations, including:
• Transvaginal (TVS) scans
• Pregnancy scans (1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester)
• Whole abdomen scans
• Nuchal Translucency (NT) scans
• Anomaly scans (Targeted Level-II scans)
• Evaluate ultrasound images to identify normal and abnormal findings.
• Prepare detailed and accurate diagnostic reports in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with referring physicians, gynecologists, and obstetricians for case discussion and patient management.
• Maintain and ensure proper functioning of ultrasound equipment.
• Adhere to clinical protocols, quality assurance, and patient safety standards.
• Counsel patients regarding the scanning process and address any questions or concerns.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure patient confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• MBBS degree from a recognized university.
• Postgraduate Diploma/Degree in Sonology, Radiology, or Medical Imaging (e.g., DMRD, MD Radiology, PG Diploma in Ultrasonography).
• Valid Medical Council Registration (State/National level).
• Minimum 1–3 years of experience performing diagnostic ultrasounds.
• Proficiency in obstetric and gynecological imaging.
• Strong interpretation and reporting skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Commitment to ethical medical practice and patient care.
• Familiarity with modern ultrasound machines and image archiving systems.
