About the Role: We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Architectural Product Designer to join our team at Good Windows. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing complex architectural structures, with a focus on skylights, facades, and custom products. You will work closely with our production team to bring innovative designs to life and contribute to cutting-edge projects in the window and skylight manufacturing industry. Key Responsibilities: - Develop detailed and precise designs for skylights and custom architectural structures using specialized software. - Create accurate 2D and 3D drawings and models in AutoCAD, Rhino, Google SketchUp, SolidWorks, and other relevant design tools. - Collaborate with production teams to translate designs into manufacturable products. - Prepare cost estimates, material calculations, and quotes based on initial design drafts. - Revise and update designs based on client or production feedback. - Ensure that designs comply with industry standards and client specifications. - Stay current with trends and technological advancements in skylight and facade design, incorporating innovative solutions into your work. Qualifications: - A degree in Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related field is preferred. - Proven experience in architectural design, particularly with skylights, facades, or other complex building structures. - Proficiency in AutoCAD, Google SketchUp, Rhino, SolidWorks, and other industry-specific design tools. - Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, material specifications, and fabrication techniques. - Excellent attention to detail and a creative approach to problem-solving. - Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality. Skills: - Strong technical skills in drafting and 3D modeling software. - Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with both clients and production teams. - Organizational skills to manage multiple deadlines and priorities. - Creative thinking and innovation in design.
