This Position reports to:
Sales Manager
Your role and responsibilities (Mandatory)
In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the assigned Sales organization (division and market) and customers during the proposal process. Each day, you will serve as a key technical resource in the assigned area. You will also showcase your skills by preparing technical descriptions of the products and technology, determining costs, and preparing final documentation.
This role is contributing to the Process automation in Measurement & Analytics division in India Region.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Support the local sales organization/customers in determining the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions and in the preparation of demanding offers.
- Prepare and support the preparation of technical/commercial offers based on customer specification requirements, local business unit/feeder factory indications, and sales organization directives.
- Analyze customer needs and competitor offers through general market information and sales organization inputs.
- Perform lost proposal analysis, identify the potential causes, and recommend future actions to improve success rates.
Qualifications for the role (Mandatory)
- Specialized knowledge of Continuous Water Analyzers (CWA), Continuous Gas Analyzers (CGA), Industrial Process Analyzers, Gas Chromatograph, Continuous Emission Monitoring System (CEMS), and Analytical Systems.
- Experience in product selection and configuration, quotation preparation, technical document compliance, vendor coordination, full-cost model calculation, and technical query clarification.
- Knowledge of sales operations tools – Salesforce Opportunity Management, Reports, and Dashboards.
- Exposure and understanding of the industrial processes - Power Plant, Water, Metals & Minerals, Oil & Gas, Pulp & Paper.
- Diploma or B.E./B. Tech in Instrumentation, Electronics, or Chemical Engineering.
- 8-15 years of relevant work experience in sales support, bids, and proposals.
