Key Responsibilities Client Acquisition & Lead Generation Identify potential clients through networking, referrals, corporate tie-ups, and lead databases. Approach individuals, families, and businesses to understand their insurance needs. Generate leads through activities such as cold calling, field visits, seminars, and digital campaigns. Build and manage a strong sales pipeline to ensure consistent conversions. Sales & Business Growth Present life and health insurance products in a clear and persuasive manner. Match customer requirements with suitable insurance plans, explaining benefits, premiums, and coverage details. Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets set by the organization. Cross-sell additional insurance products like riders, top-ups, or group policies. Client Relationship Management Develop long-term professional relationships with customers to ensure renewals and referrals. Provide timely support during policy renewals, premium payments, and claim settlements. Address customer concerns, ensuring a positive experience with the company. Build trust by being transparent, ethical, and customer-oriented. Market Research & Strategy Study market trends and customer behavior to identify opportunities for growth. Stay updated on competitor products and pricing strategies. Provide feedback to management on customer needs and potential new product offerings. Contribute ideas for marketing campaigns and promotional activities. Collaboration & Teamwork Coordinate with underwriters, operations, and claim departments for smooth service delivery. Work closely with marketing teams to align sales strategies with campaigns. Share best practices with peers and support new team members in onboarding. Compliance & Documentation Ensure that all sales are carried out as per IRDAI guidelines and company policies. Collect and verify customer documents required for policy issuance. Maintain accurate records of sales, client interactions, and revenue performance. Safeguard sensitive customer information and maintain confidentiality. Skills & Competencies Required Sales & Negotiation Skills Ability to convince customers with strong persuasion techniques. Skilled in closing deals while maintaining professionalism and ethics. Confidence in handling objections and converting rejections into opportunities. Communication & Interpersonal Skills Excellent verbal and written communication. Ability to explain complex insurance concepts in simple terms. Empathetic approach in dealing with customers’ concerns.
