Network Operations Specialist

To ensure we can deliver this globally, we are now looking for someone to join our Central IT Operations team as a Network/Zscaler Operations Specialist As such you will assure that, together with our external partners and internal IT Service Teams, we deliver IT Security services with the required quality, reliability, speed, and the right costs. You will administer, coordinate, resolve and/or drive various Improvement and Remediation activities along with configuration initiatives for the Zscaler platform & service. These responsibilities may arise from structured project work, operations or ad-hoc requirements, demanding both strategic oversight and hands-on expertise. Key Responsibilities - Ownership and Support of Zscaler Platform Components: Oversee and provide expert support for Zscaler's cloud security solutions, including Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA), Zscaler Private Access (ZPA), and Zscaler Digital Experience (ZDX). - Incident and Request Ticket Resolution: Respond to and resolve incidents and service requests related to the Zscaler environment, ensuring swift and effective resolution to maintain robust security postures. - Application Segmentation, Troubleshooting, Maintenance, and Monitoring: Execute application segmentation, troubleshoot issues, and conduct regular Zscaler platform maintenance and monitoring to guarantee system resilience and performance. - Driving and Implementing Changes and Projects: Initiate, manage, and implement changes and projects that elevate the security and efficiency of Atlas Copco's IT landscape. Act as product owner and SME for Zscaler platform. - Documentation and Knowledge Management: Maintain and update technical documentation and internal knowledge articles to ensure accuracy, continuity, and accessibility of information. - Automation Script Development: Develop automation scripts, with a preference for REST API integrations, ideally utilizing Python to enhance efficiency and reduce manual effort. - Collaboration: Work closely with strategic partners and Zscaler representatives, ensuring excellent service delivery and proactive adoption of new features and solutions to continually strengthen the organization's security stance. - Best Practice Implementation: Advise and collaborate with Regional IT teams and business stakeholders in the deployment and refinement of security best practices and solutions. - Audit Support: Support internal audits with a focus on IT, providing evidence, insights, and remediation where necessary. To succeed, you will need Experience Requirements - 5+ years experience with Zscaler platforms (ZIA, ZPA, ZDX) including setup, implementation, configuration, and maintenance. - 5+ years of networking experience, including LAN/WAN and switching environments. - Practical knowledge of network routing and DNS operations. - Ability to implement the best practices for Zscaler Client Connector App and Forwarding Profiles in large enterprises. - Expertise in Zscaler Client Connector administration and setup for security and performance. - Understanding of resource and policy management for security in ZPA and ZIA. - Experience in SSL Inspection and Policy Management within ZIA. - Proven record in deploying and managing secure Zscaler infrastructure (App Connectors, Private Service Edges, Branch Connectors, Cloud Connectors). - Ability to implement Zero Trust principles in Zscaler Private Access and Zscaler Internet Access solutions and manage Zero Trust Access Policies in large organizations. - Experience with deploying Zscaler solutions on Windows, Linux, and Mac OS is a plus. - Familiarity with Checkpoint firewalls is a plus - Proficiency in Python or any automation programming language is highly desirable. - Experience with APIs and automation processes is highly desirable. - Records of successful IT service delivery, project management, and technical support. - Knowledge of IT processes and ITIL methodologies. Educational/Personality Requirements - University degree or equivalent practical experience relevant to the role. - Current Zscaler certifications required. - Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP) are preferred. - An ITIL Foundation certification is desirable. - Fluent command of English, both spoken and written, is essential; knowledge of a second language is preferred. - A strong team player with the capability to build positive relationships across multiple regions and departments. - Demonstrated cultural awareness and the ability to work effectively in a highly matrixed, global environment. - Excellent planning, organizing, and prioritizing skills, with a proven ability to operate in fast-paced, dynamic settings. - Resilience and adaptability in navigating a rapidly changing digital landscape, with a focus on promoting positivity and innovation within the team. - A mindset of continuous improvement, embracing new technologies and innovative solutions. - Openness to learning, diverse perspectives, and contributing actively to a globally inclusive environment. - Commitment to interaction, innovation, and delivering results through all actions and responsibilities.
