activities can be broadly bucketed as Sales Trading Structuring Finance and Sales support As an Associate in the Structuring and Trading team in GIFT City Ahmedabad you will also be interacting with onshore clients while supporting the onshore Structuring teams Job responsibilities Designing and valuing derivative products as part of Structuring and Pricing Onboard clients on nexus desktop so they can send rebalances as well as to get the analytics features of nexus desktop and VIDA JPM tech platform Discuss propose with traders on the hedging methodology and provide sample results if required in case of complex trades Role offers good opportunities to independently suggest ideas and drive J P Morgan Investable Indices platform development Evaluating existing and new proprietary strategies Back Testing and Analysis Conducting market research to inform product development and strategy Analyze research reports and trade ideas to develop client-relevant strategies Create pitch books and factsheets that align products with current market conditions Manage lifecycle events and address client queries related to settlements calculations reconciliations and legal documents Steer automation and process improvements develop automations for daily tasks and enhance automated pricing tools to meet client needs The team collaborates closely with global trading sales and structuring teams covering product classes like Equity Derivatives Rates FX Alternatives and Commodities A proactive approach to improving desk efficiencies and leveraging J P Morgan s sophisticated strategies is essential Required qualifications capabilities and skills Idea analysis and generation Working with the Structuring Sales desks on various flow and tailor made structuring requests building models in excel back-testing of strategies reconciling back-tests prepared in parallel Expected to take up initiatives to come up with product ideas based on market research and analysis Model development Perform in-depth data analysis using statistical and machine learning techniques to creatively build alpha-generating investable index strategies catering to the diverse needs of institutional clients New product development Implementing new ideas that team generates devising improvising on new strategies coding and back testing strategies in Python Product Pricing Devise and provide pricing on derivative structures using internal pricing models as per the client requirements Platform Development Role offers good opportunities to independently suggest ideas and drive J P Morgan Investable Indices platform development Business Intuition Translate business needs into quantitative analyses and tools communicate complex results to senior stakeholders in a clear and precise manner Market Monitoring Compile periodic reports on key developments in the economy interest rate and currency markets and providing customized market outlook based on internal market research reports Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills Knowledge and Experience Strong understanding and hands-on experience in pricing derivatives including indices futures and options Equities FX Rates Credit Commodities In-depth market knowledge of one or more of these asset classes Object-Oriented Programming Proficiency in any object-oriented programming language Functional Statistical Programming Experience with languages such as Python which are used for statistical and numerical analysis VBA Advanced user of MS Excel with VBA knowledge being an advantage Financial Concepts Ability to understand and apply financial concepts Probability Theory Statistics and Machine Learning Knowledge in these areas is advantageous for developing and analyzing trading strategies Advanced skills in MS Office including the use of VBA for automation and complex calculations Ability to work effectively in a team spread across different geographical locations Strong written and verbal communication
