What We DoAt Goldman Sachs our Engineers don t just make things - we make things possible Change the world by connecting people and capital with ideas Solve the most challenging and pressing engineering problems for our clients Join our engineering teams that build massively scalable software and systems architect low latency infrastructure solutions proactively guard against cyber threats and leverage machine learning alongside financial engineering to continuously turn data into action Create new businesses transform finance and explore a world of opportunity at the speed of markets Engineering which is comprised of our Technology Division and global strategists groups is at the critical center of our business and our dynamic environment requires innovative strategic thinking and immediate real solutions Want to push the limit of digital possibilities Start here Who We Look ForGoldman Sachs Engineers are innovators and problem-solvers building solutions in risk management big data mobile and more We look for creative collaborators who evolve adapt to change and thrive in a fast-paced global environment As a Risk Manager in core engineering you will work with Risk colleagues as well as key Legal Compliance and Business partners in implementing and executing on risk assurance activities as part of our Enterprise Risk Management Program The role includes enhancing our risk assurance standards and executing testing activities including Prioritization Annual Planning Development of Testing Scope Testing of Controls and Reporting of Testing Results Responsibilities include managing and tracking of control issues identified You and the Risk Assurance team will be responsible for centralizing enhancing and globalizing these disciplines and providing oversight on assurance activities carried out by localized or domain-specific teams Primary Responsibilities Build out a strong team and define the strategy for risk evaluation across a broad landscape and lifecycles of technologies The candidate will be expected to educate and communicate to stakeholders and the team on the direction of our risk programmes and approaches to risk reduction and remediation Collaborating on relevant Risk Assessments with Risk colleagues to drive a best-in-class risk management program Work with Domain Owners to identify new areas of risk and help define appropriate Key Risk Control and Performance Indicators as well as appropriate resolution and remediation approaches and plans for breaches Identify Curate and work with process owners on Issue identification and resolution Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made demonstrating particular consideration for the firm s reputation and safeguarding Goldman Sachs its clients and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws rules and regulations adhering to Policy applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior conduct and business practices and escalating managing and reporting control issues with transparency Liaise with Second Line and Audit on externally issued findings to ensure that findings are appropriate and remediations solve for the problem mitigate the risk and are fit for purpose Ensure that any control uplfits or findings creation mechanisms are fit for purpose and sustainable in nature Provide regular reporting to governing bodies on quantitative risk barriers and remediation of findings and issues This role requires an energetic self-starter that can liaise with stakeholders across business units and federation teams both regionally and globally Familiarity with the concepts of operational risk the firm s process flows and control environment combined with strong interpersonal and analytical skills and a penchant for problem solving are necessary for this role Qualifications Experience developing and deploying an risk framework for a technology organization Cyber Resiliency Technology Bachelor s degree and 10 years of relevant experience working in operational risk relevant revenue generating division or a control function e g Credit Risk Compliance Operational Risk Finance Controllers or Audit Strong verbal and written communication skills The ability to present with impact and build consensus across senior stakeholder groups Ability to work in a fast paced environment with a focus on delivery Strong organizational skills project management experience a plus Proficiency in Excel PowerPoint and SharePoint -
