Hiring for Oracle DBA - Chennai Key Responsibilities - Database Administration Install configure and maintain Oracle Database 12c 19c or higher and PostgreSQL in enterprise environments Manage Oracle RAC for high availability and scalability Perform database upgrades patches migrations and cluster maintenance Replication Data Integration Design configure and manage Oracle GoldenGate for real-time replication across heterogeneous platforms Implement logical physical replication in PostgreSQL e g Streaming Replication Logical Replication Ensure replication integrity monitor latency and troubleshoot replication issues Performance Optimization Perform SQL and PL SQL performance tuning query optimization and database parameter tuning Optimize RAC cluster performance and troubleshoot interconnect issues Tune PostgreSQL configuration for high performance in OLTP and analytical workloads Backup Recovery Implement and manage RMAN for Oracle and native tools for PostgreSQL pg dump PITR Create and maintain disaster recovery strategies for both Oracle and PostgreSQL Security Compliance Manage roles privileges auditing and encryption for both database platforms Ensure compliance with data governance audit and regulatory standards Monitoring Troubleshooting Use tools like Oracle Enterprise Manager OEM pgAdmin and monitoring platforms Prometheus Grafana etc Proactively monitor databases for performance availability and reliability Required Skills Qualifications Education Bachelor s degree in Computer Science IT or related field Experience 7 - 10 years in database administration with both Oracle and PostgreSQL Strong expertise in Oracle RAC administration and troubleshooting Hands-on experience with Oracle GoldenGate for real-time replication Practical knowledge of PostgreSQL high availability replication and performance tuning Strong skills in SQL PL SQL and query optimization Proficiency with RMAN pg dump PITR backups and restores Good Linux Unix system administration skills Scripting in Shell Python or Perl
