JD for Oracle DBA Key Responsibilities Database Administration Install configure and upgrade Oracle database software versions 11g 12c 18c 19c and related products Perform regular database health checks backups and performance tuning Manage database schema design data modeling and object definitions Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues including query optimization locking and indexing Backup and Recovery Implement and manage database backup and recovery strategies using RMAN Data Guard or other Oracle tools Ensure proper backup schedules and disaster recovery DR procedures are in place Database Security Maintenance Administer user security and access control policies roles privileges profiles Ensure database patches security updates and hotfixes are applied promptly Manage and enforce data security policies and best practices Performance Tuning Optimization Perform performance tuning at all layers of the database environment including SQL PL SQL and system performance Monitor and optimize Oracle database performance including indexing partitioning and caching High Availability Replication Configure and maintain Oracle Real Application Clusters RAC and Data Guard for high availability Implement database replication and clustering strategies Support Troubleshooting Provide on-call support for database-related issues including troubleshooting production database outages and resolving critical issues Collaborate with development teams to support application database integration Documentation Reporting Document database architecture configurations and operational procedures Generate regular reports on database health capacity and performance metrics Collaboration Teamwork Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and design database solutions Participate in code review and database optimization processes
