Insight Global India is seeking an HR Generalist to join our growing team in Hyderabad. This role reports into the HR Manager – India and will partner closely with Core HR leadership and stakeholders in India and US/Canada. The HR Generalist will play a key role in day-to-day HR support, ensuring compliance with Indian labor laws, smooth execution of HR operations, and driving employee engagement across our India office. To be a successful candidate, you need to be a self-starter, someone who identifies issues, finds solutions, and implements them without waiting for direction. You should be agile, fast in responding, and comfortable working in a dynamic professional software services and global staffing company, where priorities can shift quickly. No two days will look the same, so the ability to adapt, pivot, and still deliver with speed and accuracy is key. What You’ll Do: HR Operations & Compliance - Maintain employee records and HR systems (Keka) with accuracy. - Support in drafting and implementing HR policies aligned with Indian labor law. - Assist in compliance areas including POSH, PF/ESI, gratuity, and other statutory requirements. - Partner with Account Managers and Recruiters to resolve day-to-day queries related to HR policies and employee clarifications. - Monitor and resolve HR queries received from employees through emails, chats, and Keka tickets, ensuring timely and accurate responses Employee Engagement & Support - Work alongside Employee Relations to investigate and resolve any internal and consultant-related employee relations issues - Support employees and managers through performance improvement plans, progressive discipline, and the termination process where needed. - Drive engagement initiatives, feedback loops and wellness programs. - Work with leadership to implement HR initiatives that enhance the overall employee experience. - HR Data & Analytics - Create and manage dashboards to track key HR metrics (attrition, headcount, engagement, etc.). - Prepare regular and ad-hoc HR reports for leadership to support decision-making. - Analyze trends and provide insights to improve processes and employee experience. Other - Support HR audits, and any ad hoc HR projects. - Partner with Core HR and business leaders on global HR initiatives rolled out in India. What You’ll Need to Succeed: - 5-7 years of HR experience in India, preferably in IT/Services/Staffing. - Strong skills in HR dashboards, data management, and reporting. - Thorough understanding of Indian labor laws and HR compliance. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. - Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities on competing deadlines. - Demonstrated ability to operate with a high level of efficiency, integrity and with complete discretion due to the nature of the work - Advanced proficiency in HRIS tools (Keka/Workday preferred) and MS Office/Excel. - A “people-first” mindset with the ability to build trust and solve problems. Must Haves: - Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience in India, preferably in IT/Services/Staffing. - Relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field. - Strong knowledge of Indian employment laws and statutory compliance (POSH, PF, ESI, Gratuity, Shops & Establishments). - Prior experience in handling employee queries, engagement activities, and HR operations. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills to partner effectively with employees and leadership.
