Assistant Professor Fashion Design

Key Responsibilities: - Teach undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses in Fashion Design and related subjects. - Develop curriculum, lesson plans, and innovative teaching methodologies. - Guide students in creative projects, design portfolios, and industry-oriented assignments. - Mentor students for internships, exhibitions, and fashion shows. - Engage in research, scholarly publications, and creative work in the field of fashion. - Collaborate with colleagues in interdisciplinary teaching and research. - Maintain strong industry connections to bring practical exposure and guest lectures. - Participate in departmental meetings, academic events, and institutional activities. - Contribute to curriculum development in line with industry and global fashion trends. Qualifications & Skills: - Master’s degree (M.Des/M.F.A/M.Sc.) in Fashion Design/Fashion Technology/Textiles or related discipline from a recognized university (Ph.D. preferred). - UGC/AICTE/University norms applicable. - Demonstrated teaching experience or industry experience in fashion design. - Strong knowledge of design software (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW, CLO 3D, etc.). - Excellent communication, presentation, and mentoring skills. - Creative thinking with the ability to inspire students. Preferred Experience: - 1–5 years of teaching or professional experience in the fashion industry. - Experience in curriculum development, research publications, or creative exhibitions. - Participation in fashion shows, design competitions, or industry collaborations.
