Assistant Professor Fashion Design

Key Responsibilities:- Teach undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses in Fashion Design and related subjects.- Develop curriculum, lesson plans, and innovative teaching methodologies.- Guide students in creative projects, design portfolios, and industry-oriented assignments.- Mentor students for internships, exhibitions, and fashion shows.- Engage in research, scholarly publications, and creative work in the field of fashion.- Collaborate with colleagues in interdisciplinary teaching and research.- Maintain strong industry connections to bring practical exposure and guest lectures.- Participate in departmental meetings, academic events, and institutional activities.- Contribute to curriculum development in line with industry and global fashion trends.Qualifications & Skills:- Master’s degree (M.Des/M.F.A/M.Sc.) in Fashion Design/Fashion Technology/Textiles or related discipline from a recognized university (Ph.D. preferred).- UGC/AICTE/University norms applicable.- Demonstrated teaching experience or industry experience in fashion design.- Strong knowledge of design software (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW, CLO 3D, etc.).- Excellent communication, presentation, and mentoring skills.- Creative thinking with the ability to inspire students.Preferred Experience:- 1–5 years of teaching or professional experience in the fashion industry.- Experience in curriculum development, research publications, or creative exhibitions.- Participation in fashion shows, design competitions, or industry collaborations.
