Join Our Team as a QA Automation Engineer - (UFT) - Shape the Future of Financial Technology MSBC is seeking a highly motivated candidate for the Automated Quality Assurance Engineering position in our Information Technology group within our Software Development division.The Mid-Level QA Engineer will play a key role in several platforms for various financial products, creating and executing test cases to ensure our software systems meet our functional and technical requirements. Job Duties: - Test new system software versions using automated testing tools. Testing types include functional, user acceptance testing (UAT), performance and regression testing on trading and financial applications. - Create, maintain, and update test cases and regression scripts, based on business requirements. - Reporting and managing software issues and test activities throughout the software development lifecycle. - Attend project meetings to discuss issues and report on the status of testing - Follow QA standards and policies - Provide estimates to help QA management produce an accurate schedule. - Provides support to Product Management group to test various business scenarios and verify functionality to be implemented. - Release management - maintenance of application versions and facilitation of version upgrades in all environments. Competencies: - Ability to work well with others in a team-based environment - Experience in a fast-paced financial market data environment - Excellent communication skills, both written and oral - High motivation level and attention to detail - Ability to complete projects on time with minimal supervision - Willingness and ability to learn new technologies and tools - Fixed income and/or derivatives market knowledge Technical Skills: - In depth knowledge of and experience with OpenText Unified Functional Testing (UFT) - Experience with bug tracking software (e.g. Jira) and Test Case Management Tools. - Design, code, and document automated test cases within a defined framework to assure the quality of a functional domain. - Ability to create new test cases based on requirements documents and guidance from the Product and Development teams. - Translate existing manual regression test cases into automated UFT tests - Knowledge of and experience with financial products, e.g. FX, Rates, Credit, Commodities, etc - Experience with programming languages (e.g. Java, C#, C++) is a plus. Qualifications & Experience: - Bachelor's degree in science and/or engineering. - 3+ years of general Quality Assurance experience with multi-tiered complex trading and/or risk management systems in the financial industry. - 2+ years of experience working with UFT. Note: Shift timings align with UK working hours. This role is based in Ahmedabad, but candidates from other cities or states are encouraged to apply as remote or hybrid working options are available.
