Our innovative team is searching for a passionate Lead 2D Game Artist to help elevate our artistic vision and drive the quality of our game art to international standards. Job Location: Navi Mumbai (Belapur) Key Responsibilities - Collaborate with talented art, design, and coding teams to produce captivating concepts, digital game assets, environments, gameplay assets, and promotional materials. - Establish and refine the visual style of projects, ensuring consistency and alignment with the overall artistic direction. - Create and optimize 2D art pipelines to facilitate smooth and efficient content updates and ongoing improvements. - Proactively seek opportunities to enhance visual quality and improve the gameplay experience, collaborating closely with the broader team. - Leverage strong knowledge in UI art creation to design intuitive and visually engaging interfaces that enhance player experience. - Develop marketing materials that effectively convey the artistic vision and engage stakeholders and audiences. - Provide accurate task time estimates and consistently meet production deadlines. - Guide and support junior artists, sharing expertise in digital art techniques to foster team growth and creativity. - Present multiple design options to stakeholders for key assets, ensuring their vision is captured while maintaining artistic integrity. - Implement and maintain standardized file naming conventions to ensure consistency and ease of asset retrieval across the team. - Regularly back up approved files and assets to secure locations, ensuring all critical work is preserved and easily accessible. Experience and Qualifications - BA in Art Media, Graphic Design, or equivalent relevant experience. - Demonstrated expertise creating isometric rendering for game assets, background rendering, UI, and concept art. - 8+ years in mobile or video game development studios, with a track record of delivering high-quality art. - Ability to adjust artistic style and techniques to meet the unique demands of mobile game development. - Deep understanding of composition, color theory, lighting, perspective, UX, and UI principles. - Proven ability to work effectively within a collaborative environment, respecting technical parameters and deadlines. - Strong design sensibilities with a keen eye for detail and visual storytelling. - A genuine enthusiasm for the game industry, along with an awareness of current market trends and styles. - Thrive under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously. - Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) and other relevant art tools. Bonus Experience - Familiarity with Unity3D’s asset integration pipeline. - Skills in animation or visual effects using Spine or similar software.
