About the job School Academic Head - Pedagogy Teacher Development About the Role This role is designed for an education leader who can shape and drive the academic vision of a fast-scaling school group The Academic Head will be responsible for building model schools leading teacher development systems and ensuring consistent curriculum and pedagogy implementation across schools The position requires balancing big-picture academic strategy with hands-on support for school leaders and teachers ensuring that schools meet high standards while remaining adaptable to diverse contexts Key Responsibilities Academic Strategy Vision Lead the design and implementation of the academic roadmap across a growing school network Build and scale academic systems that strengthen pedagogy and learning outcomes Model Training Schools Establish flagship model schools that serve as showcases of academic excellence Build training ecosystems within these schools to serve as teacher development hubs Teacher School Leader Development Design and implement teacher training and peer-observation structures Mentor principals and academic leaders serving as a credible principals coach Curriculum Pedagogy Implementation Oversee adoption of CBSE-aligned curriculum and progressive teaching methodologies Ensure consistency in classroom practices across both high-investment and resource-constrained schools Scaling Quality Control Start with 5 schools and expand the academic systems to 50 schools over time Continuously refine academic practices based on classroom observation and outcome tracking Must-have Experiences 15-20 years in education with proven leadership in curriculum design teacher training and school academic leadership Experience as a principal or school leader who has successfully led academic transformation at scale Strong track record of building and implementing academic systems across 10 schools Deep understanding of CBSE curriculum pedagogy and classroom coaching practices Comfortable working in both premium model schools and resource-limited school contexts Mindset Approach Visionary yet pragmatic can translate academic ideals into step-by-step implementation Strong belief in teacher capacity building and creating structures for peer learning Respected as a thought partner to principals supportive yet uncompromising on quality Open to innovation while grounded in operational realities of school management
