A Water System Operator in a pharmaceutical facility is responsible for operating monitoring and maintaining purified water PW water for injection WFI and clean steam systems to ensure they meet strict regulatory and quality requirements These utilities are critical for manufacturing cleaning and laboratory operations Key Responsibilities 1 System Operation Monitoring Operate PW WFI generation and distribution systems e g RO EDI distillation units storage tanks distribution loops Monitor critical parameters such as conductivity TOC temperature pressure and flow rates Ensure continuous and uninterrupted supply of high-quality water 2 Preventive Corrective Maintenance Perform routine sanitization thermal or chemical of PW WFI systems Support preventive maintenance on pumps valves heat exchangers filters and instrumentation Respond to alarms and equipment breakdowns 3 Compliance Documentation Maintain logbooks batch records and utility monitoring records Follow GMP FDA EU GMP and company SOPs Support IQ OQ PQ and requalification activities for water systems 4 Quality Safety Ensure water quality meets pharmacopeial standards USP EP JP Participate in deviation investigations CAPA implementation and environmental monitoring programs Adhere to safety procedures for chemical handling hot systems and pressure equipment 5 Cross-Functional Support Work closely with QA Validation Production and Maintenance teams Support audits and inspections by regulatory authorities Skills Competencies Knowledge of GMP clean utilities and pharmacopeial requirements Ability to operate SCADA BMS PLC systems Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude Understanding of water purification technologies RO UF EDI distillation UV Documentation discipline and attention to detail Job Type Full-time Benefits Food provided Paid sick time Provident Fund Work Location In person
