John-Cockerill Energy Solution India Mumbai Position Purchase Manager Lead BuyerJob PurposeTo strengthen its Procurement Sourcing team John Cockerill is looking for a Purchase Manager Lead Buyer M F X with an affinity for mechanical aspects John Cockerill is currently placing purchasing at the center of its strategy and development for the next few years We are therefore looking for an experienced lead buyer to enable us to successfully complete ambitious projects The Lead Buyer implements the operational purchase processes for his portfolio to guarantee the provision of raw materials parts assemblies sub-assemblies equipment and services that meet the quality performance cost with reduced time to market and secure the supplies necessary for the successful operations of the projects Role involves understanding technical specifications searching the market for competent suppliers monitoring of suppliers qualification preparing commercial negotiations with suppliers ensuring quality product coordination with Design Planning Projects departments to understand Project s requirement prior to Purchase order issuance Key Responsibilities xef x82 xb7For own portfolio lead project procurement operations from RFQ to PO closure This includes sending RFQ Coordination with Engineering department for completing technical approval coordination with Head Quarter to finalize the commercial negotiation while ensuring on time ordering on time delivery of equipment as per project schedule xef x82 xb7 Prepare sourcing strategies to improve quality delivery lead time and competitiveness and to mitigate supply chain risk xef x82 xb7 Develop maintain price norms Rate contracts xef x82 xb7 Manage the relationship with the suppliers qualification performances disputes xef x82 xb7 Coordinate with accounts and finance departments to process payment to sellers as per terms xef x82 xb7 Maintain procurement reports as per requirements xef x82 xb7 Handle internal and external Audit queries Education and Experience xef x82 xb7 Bachelor Master Degree Bac 5 Engineering Purchasing Business with Minimum 10 years of relevant procurement experience in Engineering Project organization is essential Background Skills and Competencies xef x82 xb7 Minimum 10 years of relevant procurement experience preferably in project oriented industries xef x82 xb7 Previous meaningful experience of establishing own purchasing strategies for the most critical segments of own portfolio and actively executing them integrating market and requirement changes xef x82 xb7 Strong experience in Procure to Pay operational day to day able to manage the operational purchasing process up to receiving bids and preparing comparison table able to support proposal requirements or procurement details RFQ s xef x82 xb7 Proven experience with the management of a panel of suppliers i e -
