Application Support Analyst Assurant-IndiaResponsible for providing support for the enterprise applications working within a dynamic and demanding environment with evolving business needs This person needs to be able to work effectively as an individual as well as part of a team This position will be Work from Office in the Hybrid Model at our Bangalore India location What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job 75 - Provide operational support to enterprise application and in-depth problem analysis capabilities 15 - Independent working knowledge of job role demonstrating mature technical skills and interpersonal competencies 10 - Serves as an advocate for Enterprise customer What are the requirements needed for this positionEducation Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent Previous Experience Requires minimum 5 years experience in supporting complex web applications Experience working with and administrating geographically dispersed systems Experience working and collaborating with offshore teams Knowledge and Skills Sound understanding of planning analysis and testing Techniques required to support distributed applications documentation analysis and testing methodologies Ability to plan coordinate and execute activities effectively Perform daily monitoring verifying the availability and integrity of all resources and key processes Proactively monitor application performance identify and resolve issues Complete periodic e g month year-end IT processes and procedures within the stipulated SLAs and KPIs Create and maintain IT processes procedures and documentation Troubleshoot and provide timely resolution of systems issues regarding data analysis application setup and configuration application usage queries data changes and reporting Provide application support readiness for changes to the production environment to ensure all changes and processes are properly understood and documented Report on metrics as required Perform and complete application and security audits Ensure BCP and DR documents are maintained and reviewed periodically and restoration and testing are conducted and documented in accordance with the organizations disaster recovery and business continuity strategies Monitor the recurrent incidents perform problem management and escalate to the next level of support or development team when required Coordinate with Infrastructure teams on events of patching upgradation of servers to ensure the applications are stable running after the patching event Perform pre- and post-release validations to ensure production stability and successful change implementation Determines gaps in procedures processes and produce suggestions recommendation for improvement Ability to analyze business problems and propose effective solutions Knowledge of business applications and tools such as MS Excel MS Project MS Teams ADO ServiceNow Jira Confluence and Quip Work effectively with global resources to adhere to Assurants best practices policies standards and procedures What other the Preferred Experience Skills and Knowledge Business analyst and or project management experience Insurance Retail or Finance industry background Application-specific or job-centric industry certifications preferred one or more Software Engineering Master Certification SEMC ITIL v4 Project Management Professional PMP
